Updates for dry run
i think i left out some details in the previous post.
Firstly, please note that on the first day of the dry-run, you may wear school shorts or berms. However on the second day, it is impt that you wear berms because we'll be out of school.
Next, on the first day, please bring a notebook, a pen, and a coloured marker. Prefects, please bring along your lanyards. On the second day, please bring an umbrella/poncho, notebook, pen. That's all you need to bring, unless your IC wants you to bring anything else.
Lastly, you may wear any shoes or socks for both days.

finally, the day of our dry-run is approaching so here are the details.
30th Dec
Time: 10am-6pm
Attire: House T-shirt
Venue: Meet in the school hall
31st Dec
Time: 8am
Attire: PL lite shirt
Venue: Meet outside candy empire @ vivo
On 30th Dec, if there is any comm who would like to go there earlier to prepare, feel free to do so but please let either me or guofang know via sms or call.
Log, pls be reminded that all log items required are to be ready by 30 Dec.

As for T-shirt sizes, I have converted the sizes (32 to 42) to the T-shirt sizes given by the supplier (XS to L)

Please be reminded that the deadline/dateline for submission of proposals is 30th Nov Monday.
Any comm that would need more time/ extension of dateline, please inform either GuoFang or Keely.

Ok , the various ICs had a meeting with the teachers last thursday
and we changed the camp theme slightly.
So instead of "you are a part of PL", it is now changed to "We're part of PL."

we're back from planning camp! we'd like to thank all of you for the hard work that you've put into the proposals! thanks for making our work so much easier by doing a wonderful job xD
We hope that through this camp, you've forged new friendships, forged closer bonds with your various group members, understand the meaning of intensive ^^ planning camp, and that all of us are now one step closer to our goal.
Our goal - iDiscover Camp 2010 to be a success.
It really warms our heart to know that everyone is very hardworking, dilligent and responsible when it comes to finishing up the work/ proposals together as a team.
And its really heartwarming to know that we are not alone.
Lets all work hard together to acheive what we all want to achieve.
Lets be the best camp committee ever in the history of PL.
We will be alright!
Once again, thank you all for being a bunch of crazy yet sweet angels.

Singspiration and Devotion Comm :D
The details of our meeting tomorrow:
Venue:Preferably Hall (I'll get Ms Ng's permission first)
Time: 9AM TO 11.30AM
*We'll be practising our mass dance!And also how are we going to teach the sec1s.
Thereafter,we'll go for lunch at pasir ris.
Please save all the necessary proposals(Singspiration,Devotion) in your thumbdrives.
In case one thumbdrive doesn't work,we'll use another,so everyone do save a copy of each.

Packing List.
Hello Ladies.:D
These are the items you need to bring for the Chalet.
1. A shirt ( House Tee Shirt )
2. One pair of berms.
3.Shorts( No FBTs.)/Trackpants( for sleeping).(Optional)
4.Undergarments
5.Toiletries.
6.Sleeping Bag
7.Waterbottle ( you don't want to drink tap water.)
8.Towel
9.Slippers ( you don't want to slosh around in sneakers.)
10. Colouring materials ( Crayons/ Markers/ Colourpencils)---> Must bring hor.
Attire for the day: PL Lite Shirt + Berms
( no shorts please.)
When? 16NOV 1.30pm
Where? PASIR RIS MRT ( Entrance facing interchange side)
PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL. Late comers will be severely dealt with. ( We know you know what will happen, its too painful to elaborate.)
Each committee/group is to have a laptop
Don't worry if your group do not have a laptop, just inform either Keely or myself and we'll inform the teachers and they will get it from the school
Ohoh, please be prepared to get quite little sleep.Yeah, sleep more the day before.

smile because i am here to clear your doubt! there's been a discussion on the tagboard on the how many classes there'll be next here. so guofang and i asked the teachers this morning and it's confirm plus chop that there'll be 8 classes next year so yall can go ahead and plan your programmes and budgets and everything.

It's my prayer that you guys will stay strong even when you meet with problems and difficulties. Place your trust in the Lord because he is good and faithful :D
Lastly, pls feel free to approach guofang and i if there are any problems or doubts. we'll be more than glad to help ^^

Here are the stuff that we will need:
1. 20 trash bags (Can buy extra cause we can use it for the dry run on 30 and 31st december and the camp itself)
2. 2 pails (Can be from home)
3. Stopwatch/ watch with stopwatch function
4. 2 blobs of rafia string
5. 8 empty 1.5L bottles (Can be recycled)
Okay so far these are the items I would appreciate it if you all could get back to me by Saturday so that i can get other people to get the items that some of you can't get. Work Hard Games Comm. We must stay united and strong kay??

Logistics Meeting 3
Good Job today for our first meeting, it's great that we all managed to bargain with the caterers. Well Done.=)haha.
Do remember to research on the various prices of required items by Tuesday and text Dayna or e-mail her. Thanks. Do also inform Dayna if you cannot make it for the meeting on Friday the 13th, next Friday. Thanks:)
By the way, we're going to try this method of doing the proposal. Dayna will start of doing it before e-mailing it to the rest of you'll to touch up. Then, the last person will save it in her thumb drive and bring it on our Friday meeting for final amendments. =) Order of sending will be indicated in the e-mail itself, so, no worries. =)

Time: 9am-12pm
Things to bring: Thubdrive with all the documents you were told to do and a schedule of your holiday timetable so we know when to plan the next meeting to practice. Notebook and pen.
Attire: Full school uniform or any school shirt with pinafore.
Notes: Come prepared with possible themes for the camp and think of a way to incoperate the school song into the programme.
To the rest of the camp commitee, we really hope you consider us in your prayers as we plan the devotion and singspiration, that what we prepare will touch the hearts of the sec 1 campers and they will benefit from the camp. We will be praying for you guys too as you prepare for the camp:) God bless!

Meetings for Logistics Committee
Meeting Details:
Date: 5th November, Thursday
Time: 10.00am to 2.30pm, latest(Members of CCAs that begin earlier may leave as required)
Venue: School, at the canteen.
Objectives: To collate our research on various caterers and the cost of food items.
: To collate our research on various T-shirt designers and the cost.
: To decide as a committee some questions we need to ask the teachers.
: To start on our report-submission to the treasurers.
: to come up with a few themes for the camp and work on shirt design.
Please get ready all the information by Thursday's meeting. Those who really cannot, by Monday latest, as we need to be accountable to the treasurers who gave us an extension for the deadline. :) Any other meetings that have yet to be confirmed will be send to inform everyone through text message by Dayna and details will again be posted up on the blog:)

Yup, this journey is gonna be a long and tiring one,
But i hope that you all will 'jia you'( add oil ) and not give up.
I can do all things thru christ.
We are the awesomest bunch of camp comm in the whole wide world yeah!
Anyway, if anyone of you meets with any problems along the way, remember that I will always be there for you and will be the most willing to lend you my ear.

We have a meeting on the 5th and 6th November at 10am. It is held in school--D&T benches. Just bring paper and pen, we do not need a laptop at the moment. Please be punctual.
